Applications for the fall quarter class will be reviewed on a rolling basis. This two-week field trip includes seminars with Tsinghua University students and faculty, on-the-ground fieldwork observation, and lectures from sustainability experts and practitioners. There will be many opportunities to interact with Chinese collaborators, including Clean Air Asia, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Intel's social innovation branch, and the China Sustainable Transportation Center.

Register for Civil & Environmental Engineering 126 (CEE 126), Earth Systems 138 (EARTHSYS 138) or Urban Studies 145 (URBANST 145). Graduate students can register for International Policy Studies 274 (IPS 274). The class meets 1:30-3:20 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, with a once-a-week Innovation Lab from 4:30-7:20 PM on Monday evenings. This time slot allows our class to connect with collaborators and partners in Beijing who are 15 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time. All three time slots are required.
